Day - 2 reflexion time before the big day


Reflexion time before the big day...



What has my progress been like these last few weeks ?

my results these last few weeks have been amazing! very fast progress

I am

the reason behind is simple: I have been taking my challenge therefore my training/dieting much more seriously and therefore have been much more strict these last few weeks.

No more cheating ...I was counting the days down to my first competition ...only 2 days left!!!

It is amazing how my body responses well to healthy eating and excercise=> it works! and if it did not so far the answer is that I was not doing it 100%



How do I feel?

Physically I feel great ! I feel full of energy. The more I do, the more I want to do. I don't feel tired all the time like I used to before.

I feel in control of my eating: I know what is good for my body and I don't hesitate anymore going for the healthy choices. I accepted that in order to have a beautiful, healthy, flexible, strong body I must give it the right food. I also have an eating routine which is very important for me. I find having this routine helps me stay in control. Preparing my food in the morning for lunch and my dinner and packing my pre and post workout snacks for the day. Preparation is really key! i have experienced it and confirm this. The weeks I have lost the more body fat are the weeks i have cooked ALL my meals from scratch ingredients at home and keeping everything simple. it does work trust me. a whole range of green steamed vegetables, lean meat, seafood or fish, good oils and supplements such as magnesium, zinc has been my diet these last few weeks.



How did I start?

Having a personal coach helping me out with my eating and exercise plan at the beginning really helped me. i don't think i would have had the same results without it. It gave me a structure to train with. I have learn so much through this experience thanks to Dominik and Jon my ex coaches. I learnt new things about my posture, my breathing, other ways of coping with everyday stress, natural supplements, the importance of rest. So for all this and for listening to me when i needed to talk I thank you both Dominik and Jon :)



Do i still crave "bad food":

it's a bit like stopping smoking (I am an ex-smoker over 15 years ago).

I sometimes crave unhealthy foods out of no where...and this is when i have to be strong and this is when I usually have the following conversation in my head: "Ariane you know this is not good food for your body, you know that your body is going to suffer from you having this, you know that you are going to have to work even harder because of this, you know that in the end anyway it will not taste as good as you think it might" because most of the times, if I do give in I get disappointed because it does not taste as delicious as I imagined it did.

Surprisingly I now crave for bright, colourful fresh salad or lean grilled meat or fresh fish...this now puts water to my mouth! Nothing too complicated, just nice simple food.

Clearing my eating was my biggest challenge. I was really addicted to sugar. Now I rarely crave sweet things, i get the odd chocolate craving that's when I indulge with reason (few squares only) to black organic fair trade 70% (or more) coco chocolate.



am I stopping my training/ healthy after Fame UK bikini?

The short answer is : no

I am taking a weekend break and i am starting again with a new goal



I am now addicted to it!

Addicted to feeling GREAT

Addicted to seeing my body change

Addicted to getting told how healthy I look

2 weeks left


Wooow the pressure is on now!
but I have good people around me: my dedicated husband - joining me out for a jog every morning and giving me a nice rub when my muscles are saying...enough we need a break !

mon petit chou au chocolat Juliana whose enthusiasm for my latest project is giving me loads of confidence and energy.

My friends and colleagues Hayley, Amanda, Raphy, Phem, Rita, Helen, Ann-Marie just to name a few at work who must be absolutely bored by now as this is all I have been talking about...thank god for them there is only 2 weeks left of torture ...before my next challenge (Nov 2010- Las Vegas).

Today I was trying on various bikinis from the collection I have started to create...all I have been seeing lately are bikinis...some of them look better now that I have lot a little bit more fat and gained a bit more definition...others still would need some alterations...so the choice is still not made...

fake tan trial #3, this time it is spray tan (darkest) left on for 5 hours before shower. too dark on my face to my taste and not dark enough on my body...I'll try to darken my body with my fake bake and see if this works...

Hair and makeup for the big day still need to be decided...I have some ideas...depending on bikini final choice


Ohhh laaaa laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

We are getting thereeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

It's exciting to see how everything is coming together: hard work, sweat, dedication, pain, food restriction is all worth it in the end...

My last food alimenting alterations seem to be having great effect: I am feeling slimmer and lighter, my clothes are confirming this too :)

An additional challenge

Okaaaayyy we are now only 5 weeks away from Competition day!!

Some of my competitors fellows are already ready ! I am farrrr from being there!

So today I was talking with my sweet hubby and he threw me an additional challenge:
lose 2 dress size in the next 5 weeks and I'll win £1000
If I don't I'll have to pay him :(

So the bet started today and was great timing as i just have received 5 books on nutrition...so here is the plan: CLEAN nutrition (veg, raw veg, salad, fish and grass fed whey protein shakes) for the next 5 weeks, plenty of good fats, magnesium, zinc, ashwagandha supplements and chamomile (pm) , peppermint (am) and holy basil (day) herbal teas.

This is a fantastic additional motivation for the final push...

5 weeks and 6 days to go



I have been joining few fitness groups, adding friends etc who are also joining FAME May 2010...they are dead serious about all this, they are good ! No presssssurrreeee there !!!!
Some of them who are already looking competition ready are talking about pushing themselves for the next 6 weeks ...now this is what I call perfection!

I am FAAARRRR from this BUT I am not doing too bad, my shape is changing nicely, I am feeling lighter and more energetic, my bum is shaping up nicely as my hubby says...and my arms are nicely toning up. My back is becoming nice and leaner - I used to hate this fat on the side where the bra strap sit - I realized yesterday it's no longer there : ) not bad, not bad :)

New amendments on my training program this week: more frequent exercises and increase of intensity (more tabata workouts) and change in the diet: starting in the mornings with protein and nuts.

I have checked my weight this morning and I am the lowest I have been in the last 13 weeks not bad considering I am not focusing on the scales but more on the cm loss.

I was trying few "slimmer" outfits on last night at home - a bit of a catwalk for my hubby who was really enjoying this - and I found one in my closet and beautiful raspberry pencil dress I want to get in in the next 3 weeks: by the 10th May.

I will ask my coach this week for a full body composition (fat / muscle) and cm check. It will be a good starting point for the next 5 weeks and 6 days to go to FAME Bikini competition !!!!

I bought my fake tan this weekend - spent a little fortune which I will try on for FAME mini camp this Friday and I have practising my walking and posing in my high heel shoes with my good friend Juliana - it's so much fun ! I am loving this part as we are playing Divasssssssss

Suddenly it hit me yesterday...



Suddenly it hit me yesterday...my body is not invincible...for the last 11 weeks - since I started training seriously for FAME Bikini - I have not been ill not even a little flu and suddenly realizing that my body was out of my control (the strange uncontrollable feelings of anxiety/stress/restlessness after my medical injection) scared me. Also maybe because what recently has happened in my family. I must do even MORE to build a STRONG & HEALTHY body to PREVENT it to become ill.

Today FINALLYYYY I am feeling back on track but although i trained hard this past week I have not given it all in my eating...what a shame!!!! one week lost !!!
I MUST compensate and be EXTRA good and follow what Jon my coach was saying: NO CARB, NO GRAINS in the evening as this is when we store and bu id up fat. so it's a NO NO

Today so far so good. I must take everyday as it comes literally and do the BEST very possible BEST in my eating. I watched Arnold's video sent by Audrey from FAME and WOWWWWW what an inspiration and a motivational quick! I loved it. Thank you Audrey for sharing :)

I need to be doing so serious catch up!

yesterday's FAME camp


Yesterday's FAME camp was fantastic !

Meeting Angie, Audrey, Eleni and so many others inspiring people.

It was really exciting to meet the other contestants and see how much everyone else was excited too! This is the wake up call...this is the real thing!

It was so nice to finally meet Angie to whom I had been talking to on bodyproud website.
Audrey was coaching us at FAME camp, she is an amazing person, she is not only beautiful but she has such a presence, she is very charismatic.

We got valuable tips on what to wear, not to wear, tip on make up, tan, posing, diet. It was really helpful!

I did not have to courage to put my bikini on yesterday but I made a point of wearing it at my next Fame camp!

I had a long chat with my coach today and we are going to try a different approach with my eating because my eating is my biggest downfall.

I have been in a really really BADDDDDD mood today!!! My poor husband !!!!

I feel really really nervous for tomorrow! I am worried of looking stupid there because... let's be honest... I am NOT in shape for the competition yet and far from it!!!
Thank God I have another 11 weeks to get ready. I know 11 weeks is not much but enough to make a big difference if I put all my focus and determination. Thanks to my hubby who is always and has always supported any cause and any project I have done. He has given me faith back. He has made me realize it is all in my hands that there is nothing I can't achieve if I really want it and put my energy and focus into it. And for this I am so grateful to have him by my side. Always.

Training week #7

training week #7








I have been feeling rather "lazy" these last few days...arrived a little bit late to my PT training and my coach Dominik was not too impressed to say the least... but we catched up with time and worked out twice as hard !

This week, Result tiiiiimmmmeeee :
* visually: some good changes
* weight/ fat: my body fat is still going down, another 0.7Kg down this week :)
that's another reward well earned !!

I am stilll on the EDT Training and this week is the BLAST / FULL POWER week! push push push

Few amendments on the EDT speed / density w/out which should do the trick to enable be to push to full power and amazinnggg results this week.

After all it's this Sunday bikini trial !


I will be going there with my training buddy Helen.


We will be taught how to stand, pose and walk for the bikini competition. It will also be a great way to meet the other people entering the competition like us.


Although we are not meant to be in competition shape this Sunday , I am a bit worried in a way...to be the one the least ready (physically). Oh well, we'll just have to see and make the most out of this day: speak to as many people as possible, get some new wind of inspiration, motivation...






But right now I have to make these next few days POWERFULL
* eat right which means P.L.A.N my food as last week's non-planning probably cost me few extra g of fat
* drink right
* take all my supplements
* have proper R.E.S.T to allow my body to regenerate

and Sunday will be Fun day! I am also feeling very excited as it is making all this feel very real now!

Start of training week #6

Start of training week #6


Amazing today! the Sun has finally decided to show up! What a difference this makes!!!
straight away, everything looks brighter, lighter more joyful. I love the Sun.

Last week was a really hard week. If this was difficult than what is this week going to be like than?

I went for my PT session with my coach , Result time !
My consistency, dedication and hard work paid off...progress results were good today:

- 1.2 Kg of fat
+ 0.30kg of muscle

and few cm off again from the waist and few more on the bum...yeahhh we want a nice round derriere not a flat shapeless derriere! ...this is another reward well earned :))))

I must say, I finally found a way of eating which satisfies me: eating smaller protions more often. It keeps me satisfied, in control of my eating. This is a huge change for me! I am feeling confident and comfortable with this eating plan.

I am started week 2 of my my new training programme today ...this week I will be pushing myself ...it is called "the buildup"...which means building up the workout intensity
...'cose last week was "base week" where we practise the techniques and the moves building up to PEAK week !!!

Really good feedback from my coach today:
-> good skipping
-> looking leaner and taller
-> good progress these last few weeks

My mission this week:
*I must remember to drink minimum 3 litres of water a day
*follow my protein diet
*take my supplements
* do my stretches
* have enough REST!
* do 4 FULL resistance / EDT session this week

Come on Ariane!!
2 weeks to go till bikini trial !!!
this week and another week! I can't waist time.
I must do everything spot on to get results!
No excuses Ariane! No excuses !

Week training #5


Training week #5



It's been an bit of a roller coaster ride these last few days!!!


ups and downs ...and up again...pfewwwwwwww :)



WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH, THE TOUGH GET GOING - Joseph P. Kennedy (1888-1969), " well I truly understand this! Not that I would have given up but It feels sometimes so difficult to get back up when hit down to the ground....


Things can sometimes become overwhelming and I very often get impatient with results but as my coach reminded me...these things don't happen over night...
thanks to my coach Dominik, I am back on the track, focused and full of determination as when I started! My coach has been a real support and a great help :)
so this week: I lost another 1kg whoa ! and few more cm...this is another reward well earned :))))

I bought my bikini for the Bikini trial in March ...not far at all now !!!!
I received it yesterday morning, it's looks very "St Tropez" or "Beverly Hills"
Now that I have the bikini...I need the BODDYYYY. I tried it on yesterday evening and got the approval of hubby which is always great :)

I booked my spray tan for the day before...a little bit of fake tan always helps


I have started my new training programme today ...this week is getting into it ...called "the base" and building the intensity up in the next few weeks...
100 skipping X 3 ouchhh! Russian twist, squats, and more skipping...i have no doubt this will do the job !!!! I must remember to drink minimum 3 litres of water a day, follow my protein diet, take my supplements and have enough REST!

Begining Training Week # 4

Monday I was still sore from Saturday !!!!
I did one hour Muay Thai Class and I finished with 45min of resistance workout ...it was really tough!!!

Sunday was my rest day :))) I needed it after such a training week! I can still feel the burnnnnnnn

Monday my coach killed me...I was still sore from Saturday and today's PT was really hard!


Results: visualssss...my progress is looking real gooood. I am waiting on the numbers later tomorrow (fat loss, cm loss, lean mass increase.... )

This week I need to focus on my eating:
* follow elimination and waive diet, strictly limit my food intake in the evening - my biggest downfall...I need to install a new evening routine which does not focus on eating!
* CHEW at least 20 times every mouthful for proper digestion
* increase my water intake to minimum 3l per day

I will make sure I include in my daily routine : stretches, Meditation, Relaxation

I had a killer cardio - core training today. I am really feeling goooooddddd! I am very proud of my workout! another reward around the corner... FREE trial

OKKAAYYY this week we are loading the weights ONNNNNNN!

Oh my God ...did someone say weights??? we are now talking!

50kg on the dead lift and 30kg on chest press...some muscles are really going to be sore tomorrow I can already feel the Burrrrnnnnnnn

I checked out some blogs on bodybuilding bikini diet tips...red peppers, green tea, and ginseng to cope with stress...

I am already browsing some swimsuits on the Internet...to give me some ideas ...for our trial run in march ...that is in 4 1/2 weeks !!!! That's one of the things I loooveeee shopppinnngggg :)))

Apparently one has to try them one (swimsuits) make sure they go with skin complexion, hair colour, eye colour...every little details counts...to WINNNNN

This is my training buddy Helen and I lifting ...or trying to to lift the weights...



I have been dedicated and consistent with with my training and my eating. I do hope to see some good results on Monday when I go to Dax Moy Studio for my PT session with my coach Dominik : ) ...another reward around the corner ...?

Start of week #3




Start of week #3

What a week last week !!! The first week of real hardcore training and healthy eating!
well...it works and it pays off...:)

This morning I went to Dax Moy Studio for my weekly PT session with my Coach Dominik.
The results are fantastic for last week's efforts:
0.5kg weight loss in 7 days
3.4 cm less on the waist in 7 days
few cm more on each biceps on both arms in 7 days

I am over the moon :) I am treating myself with something real nice this week...

So today we focused on getting the techniques perfected, breathing with the stomach and taking measurements to check my progress and see if I am on track.

So far, so god, I must keep going, it's working !!!

End of training week #2


I have the P O W E R

This week was the real thing! hard stuff! sweating buckets and shifting fat and working muscles I did not know I had ...till now!!! and we are not finished yet...one more training session tomorrow and maybe...if i am still alive... Thai boxing class on Saturday...

I went to get checked out today about my hip pain...nothing too serious, nothing to worry about...as long as I do some corrective exercises. This is all booked for Monday : )

Another great training day today with my buddy Helen, we really pushed each other again today... feeling energized but i know i will feel tired tonight. I MUST get some good rest tonight to perform as well in our last weekly training session tomorrow.

I have made some changes in my eating following my coach's advice - Dominik . This eating plan is available for FREE provided by Dax Moy personal Training Studios.

I am in pain :(((


Not feeling too great today...I am in pain, my left hip ...sharp pain when walking ...limping

and before you even ask...NO...it's NOT for my training, it's an old pain which started 3 months back which I have not dealt with then which has now worsen...

Apart from this did my cardio / core training today with my training Buddy Helen. I am really proud of myself! and a big thank you to Helen who was pulling and pushing me to do better! We had to swap training days and times around but we got there in the end :)))

We have planned two more training sessions together this week! Whoo whooo 3 training sessions together this week...it's brilliant!

We have now started week #2 training...I do hope this hip issue gets sorted quickly as i would not want it to me down in my training progress...

Training week #2



Today is the start of training week #2 and i am already seeing amazing progress!

I feel great! I had a well deserved rest this weekend as this first intense training week was quite tough but good!

Yes, I have a long way to go but I feel very satisfied on my progress. I feel I could not do things any better and my body is coping, adjusting to the healthier eating and saying thank you back...no more bloating, no more dry skin.
My body is also coping with the intense training exercise and I am feeling stronger.

I just finished my Personal Training session at Dax Moy Studios with my coach Dominik . It was necessary to make sure my techniques are correct. No point of working out the wrong way 'cos no results and might even have risk of injuries...techniques ...check
We also have taken my measurements...no reward this week as I have not lost another 2 pounds like last week :( but it does not matter I know my body, it takes 2 weeks to show changes on the scales...

I have prepared last night my lunch, snacks and dinner for today because after all it's all about preparation!!! no excuses Ariane! no excuses Ariane!





I am full of energy and ready for my second week! Bring it onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!

yesterday - first day training with my training buddy



Today work up around 08.00am ...I have a very very long day ahead....as I won't be back home till very very late today - I know ...my coach Dominik would and will probably cringe, as this is not good at all for body regeneration and recuperation...but this is exceptional :))) she says....

I met up with my friend Helen who is also joining me in this fantastic challenge...I arrived on time for our training session which is great since I am always rushing everywhere late....victory #1, then by the time I was looking for my training program to show it to her...I could not find it! oh noooooo...I looked everywhere, in my three bags (handbag, sports bag and everything/nothing bag) could not find it, when to the gym where maybe i had left it the day before...no...asked the gym staff if it had been found...no...ohhhhh noooo what was i going to do?? then I looked up in the gym locker ...and there it was...waiting for me...from yesterday's training...that was victory #2 I had not lost my training programme :)

Helen and I started off out workout...wooowwwww it makes such a difference to train with a buddy! encouraging each other, keeping the momentum and keeping to the training timings!!! no cheating!!!!

We are planning our buddy training sessions for next week. I have my regular PT session at Dax Moy studios with my coach and I am looking into doing 2 together to double our chances of a great resitance workout!!! Juggling with our busy diaries but we will find a way!

Finished work very late in the evening...I was exhausted but happy about my hard work today ! I am enjoying the journey so far!!!! one step at a time, one day at a time, I know this will work and I will make it work! Monday, if I have lost another 2 pounds, it's reward time :)))

Today is the day...the serious start of my Challenge



I will always remember this day: Monday 25th January 2010


I went to Dax Moy studios for my PT and my trainer Dominik had a fabbbb new hair cut and clean shave style...there is a waive of change and new start in the air :)))


We went through my new training programme, how exciting !!!! my training programme for the next 4 weeks:)I am following the Elimination diet and I have already lost 2 pounds in one week!!

woo woo Great start !

I am calling by training buddy tonight to see when we can meet up to train together this week...
How very exciting all this!


I am on such a high !!!! buzzing with positivity, faith in the training system and looking forward the doing my first training week ...
If i lose another 2 pounds this week, I will treat myself to something nice : )
